Welcome to the celebration of the 2024 Kavli Prize winners

2 PM at Oslo Concert Hall

The eight Kavli Prize Laureates will be honored and celebrated at a grand ceremony held at the Oslo Concert Hall.

The award ceremony, a highlight of The Kavli Prize Week, brings together science and music. The prizes are presented by a member of the Norwegian Royal Family. The event is open to the public, but registration is required.

The ceremony will be hosted by Selda Ekiz and Jim Al-Khalili.

Selda Ekiz

Selda Ekiz is a physicist and presenter at NRK. Through various programs, Ekiz has become one of Norway's most well-known hosts. In 2019, she received the Mensa Norway Award for her ability to communicate science, particularly to young people.

Jim Al-Khalili

Jim Al-Khalili is a quantum physicist and science communicator. Al-Khalili hosts the BBC science podcast The Life Scientific. He is also a prominent author, having written numerous books on popular science and the history of science. His book The World According to Physics was nominated for the Royal Society Book Prize in 2020.
